Check your tread to ensure it is legal and most importantly safe. The legal tyre tread depth in the UK is 1.6mm – this is the minimum requirement across its complete circumference. A tyre’s tread helps disperse water – worn tyres are dangerous due to the lack of grip and can hamper your ability to stop safely and quickly in wet or icy conditions.
Check and refill AdBlue or coolant if required to prevent liquids from freezing and damaging your radiator. If your coolant levels are kept topped up you reduce the risk of a frozen engine in winter.
